In November the Narberth Community Food Bank has one goal: to provide a Thanksgiving meal to all those who request one.
That’s where we need your help! We were prepared for 58 Thanksgiving dinners this year. We just received a request from our public schools for 10 more Turkey dinner boxes. WE NEED AN ADDITIONAL 10 supermarket gift cards in $25.00 increments.
Gift cards? Yes! The average size Turkey is 10-16 lbs, costs about $25.00, and the food bank does not have freezer space to store 68 turkeys. Our guests are happy to visit area markets and pick up their own bird. We will supply side dishes and pies.
We need your help to fulfill the increased numbers of requests this Thanksgiving season. As always, thank you for your generous and continued support. We couldn’t do it without you. If you’re able to help, gift cards can be dropped off during volunteer setup on Mondays from 7 to 8 pm (closer to 7 is better), or during guest hours on Tuesdays from 10 am to 1 pm or 6 pm to 7:30 pm.
